Finance Department
The City’s Finance Department addresses a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities which includes budgeting, budget execution, fiscal accountability, accounting, payroll and benefits, insurance and utility (water, sewer) set-up, billing and collection. This Department also handles receipts, all utility billings and customer service functions as well as working in cooperation with the Department of Public Works regarding utility service options.
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
Manages and oversees the City’s accounting and financial management processes as well as duties associated with the City’s payroll functions. Serves as the Department Head of the Finance Department; reports directly to the City Administrator.

- Assists with the maintenance of the employee compensation system;
- Prepares and manages the City’s annual budget;
- Oversees all City financial transactions;
- Manages the City’s cash flow in order to maximize return on investment (ROI);
- Monitors and maintains all records related to outside funding opportunities;
- Maintains payroll and payroll records;
- Reconciles all City accounts and provides any necessary reports;
- Performs all duties as required by state statutes and local ordinances;
- Oversees activities of Human Resources; and,
- Performs other duties as directed.
