WILLARD, MO – The Willard Police Department has taken a suspect into custody in connection with a series of recent auto break-ins. While the investigation remains ongoing, authorities continue to encourage residents to take proactive steps to protect their vehicles and belongings.

To reduce the risk of becoming a target, the Willard Police Department advises residents to:

  • Always lock car doors and roll up windows when leaving a vehicle unattended.

  • Remove valuables or store them out of sight, such as in the trunk or a locked glove compartment.

  • Park in well-lit areas and, when possible, use security cameras or motion-activated lighting.
