The City of Willard is holding the first meeting of its newly formed Water/Sewer Advisory Board tonight at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
This board was created to help guide long-term planning, ensure transparency in utility-related decisions, and strengthen collaboration between city leadership and the community. Members bring a range of backgrounds and perspectives and will advise on matters such as infrastructure priorities, rate structures, and system sustainability.
City Administrator Wes Young recently spoke with KSMU about the formation of the board and how it reflects Willard’s broader push toward collaborative, community-informed governance.

“We’re excited about what this group brings to the table,” said Young. “Creating space for informed public dialogue is key to building trust and making the kinds of decisions that position Willard for the future.”
The public is welcome to attend board meetings, and like other public meetings, materials will be made available through the City’s website in the Agenda & Minutes section which can be accessed directly at the following link.
