City of Willard Announces Appointment of Matthew Henry as City Administrator

The City of Willard is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew Henry as the new City Administrator.

Bringing a strong background in local government administration and a passion for public service, Henry joins the City with a commitment to responsible growth, transparent governance, and community collaboration.

As City Administrator, Henry will oversee the day-to-day operations of the City, working closely with the Mayor, Board of Aldermen, City staff, local businesses, and residents to advance Willard's strategic goals and ensure the continued delivery of high-quality municipal services.

Mr. Henry issued the following statement:

I am honored to accept the opportunity to serve as the City Administrator for the City of Willard, Missouri. Throughout my career in local government, I have been passionate about public service and helping communities grow while maintaining the qualities that make them special places to live, work, and raise a family. Willard's deep sense of community, commitment to responsible growth, and vision for the future made this an opportunity that I was excited to embrace.

I was drawn to Willard because of its reputation as a thriving community that values both progress and quality of life. The City's strategic location, growing economy, excellent schools, and engaged residents create a sturdy foundation for continued success. I look forward to partnering with the Mayor, Board of Aldermen, City staff, business community, and residents to build upon that foundation.

As City Administrator, my priorities will include supporting responsible economic development, maintaining, and improving public infrastructure, and ensuring efficient and transparent city operations. I believe successful communities are built through collaboration, fiscal responsibility, and a commitment to long-term planning.

Looking ahead, I am excited to work toward initiatives that strengthen public services, support local business growth, address future infrastructure needs, and preserve the community character that makes Willard a desirable place to call home. My goal is to ensure the City remains well-positioned for future growth while continuing to provide exceptional services and opportunities for residents and businesses alike.
